Dr. John Norris Brown is an associate professor teaching political science and history at Roane State Community College in East Tennessee with over ten years of experience teaching in higher education, as well as a writer, and a public speaker. He is the author of Harriman from Arcadia Publishing.
John’s interest are diverse and include the history of higher education, local history, American history, politics, writing, photography, and UT football. A graduate of Roane State, the University of Tennessee, Appalachian State University, and East Tennessee State University, John is also an erstwhile world traveler, having traveled to 14 countries and having taught ESL in South Korea. A native of Harriman, John lives in Oak Ridge with his wife, son, and two dogs.
