Mount Olivet Spirits
Mount Olivet Cemetery is located in Nashville at 1101 Lebanon Pike. It's a very large cemetery, and is the final resting place to many of the most prominent people in early Nashville history, including John Bell ("The Great Apostate"), Felix Grundy, John Catron, Benton McMillin, and many others. It also appears to be home to some obscure ghosts.
Like many ancient cemeteries, this one is said to be haunted. Politicians always have seemed to have strong personalities and loud voices, so it would stand to reason that they might become ghosts more frequently than others. This cemetery has no shortage of politicians buried here. Do they ghosts of those people now walk the ground in and around the cemetery? There are those who claim they do. This cemetery seems to be infested with the classic "Black Aggie," which is a dark Is Mount Olivet haunted? Like all ghost stories, there is no irrefutable proof, but it's a fascinating point to ponder.
