Copper Ridge Road
For years, rumors have persisted about hauntings at an old abandoned church on Copper Ridge Road in rural Knox County. The church has since been torn down, but the cemetery remains. An old, disorganized graveyard with many unmarked graves, it has been a favorite spot of ghost hunters and teenagers for a long while.
On February 24, 2005, myself, Nathan Fortner, Jason Piho, Todd Yarbrough, Stefanie Bowen, and James Cates visited this cemetery in hopes of finding out what the interest was. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we did not see or experience much. Orbs appeared in a few photos, but otherwise it was an uneventful night.
I was able to capture the following photos:

ive been there and have audio, video,and digital pics. some pretty interesting evidence!
As a matter of fact a couple of my friends and myself visited last night. After about five minutes of walking around down where the old church used to be, what seemed to be the voice of a small child cried out, "Mommy, mommy! Come here!" That was enough for us and we ran away.
I've been there a couple of times and its freaky. We got some pics of orbs and strange mist. Very scary place. The builing was still up when I went. We recorded also but got a few whispers, nothing much.
i drive past it every day going to work/school,but i have noticed a pattern to the place its really foggy around the beginging of the month,and thats when we have gone there and it can get preaty bad with the wind picking up fog comeing out of no where,hearing stuff,seeing stuff,and best of all haveing all sounds stop around you,but what gets us is the screamer we have heard up here,and we are not the only to account for it neither
i have personally been there my self, before it was tore down. i also went to the abandoned house beside it. i saw orbs in the house and in the church. does anyone know about the story behind it. i am a local around here, and the story i have heard is that the house was the preachers and he killed his wife and kids in the house. then hung himself off the stairs afterwards.

I honestly hope it wasn't torn down.
ME and my Dad drove up there tonite..We didn't see that it was torn down on another web site that we went to.It was still a pretty creepy place.
I used to be an active member of ETPS before they changed it... I'm still in the yahoo group but can't afford investigation fees right now. Anyway, me and my friends have gone plenty of times to the old building on Copper Ridge Rd. in Karns. We went while it was still standing. The first time we went there was junk everywhere inside, a mattress and was used by homeless people/teeneagers wanting to have a place to get drunk... Later on we went and the inside was cleaned up a little but there was graffiti, mostly satanic covering the walls and floor, also on the upstairs level there was a pentagram drawn on the floor. Its been rumored goats were stolen from the local farms and killed there by satanists but it may just be rumors. We have photos of the inside, graffiti and such, and of the cemetary outside. I only caught a couple of orbs there in photos, no evps, tho. However when we were there we all felt a presence... very creepy. I wish they hadn't torn it down. It's very hard to investigate there, I am always wary to go at night because cops constantly watch the place and there is nowhere to park. If you do go, be careful and make it quick... there are no trespassing signs near where it was torn down.

I drove by it today to kinda check it out and there was no kind of place to put a car. Shame that cops constantly watch the place though, can ya help out with how to get up there and be able to walk around for a while?

I could not beleive that someone would tear that old building down. That building had so much history. I don't live far from it and had wanted to go in that place so bad and have a look around but never did - and waited to late. I often wonder what the interior looked like though.
I went there three years ago with some friends there was no wind when we got up to the grave yard there were stairs this is before they tore everything down we got close to the stairs and looked up close to where the church use to be and there was an old man walking back and forth he looked angry When we were coming of the hill the wind blew so hard it knocked a few of us over. We had a camra but it didnt work when we got back to the house. I went there two nights ago and all me and my friends saw was a few orbs and a face on a tree. If you go be quiet and you will notice someone is always following you.
